I hope you all are enjoying the blog so far. I’m excited to see good discussions and detailed comments! I’d like to give you all a chance to comment on how the blog is working out for you. Are all the links working properly? Has the website been responsive and quick? Or is it slower than you’d like? Have you had any trouble accessing it? If the comments aren’t working for you for any reason, feel free to email me at marc at catholicbibletalk.com and I’ll look into it.
This is also a good chance to ask for recommendations on topics you’d like to see. Is there anything you’ve particularly enjoyed so far? Or anything you would recommend for me to cover? I’ve been featuring the REB vs. NABRE comparisons for about three months so far. Are you still enjoying these, or would you like to switch it up and compare other translations?
Now that the blog has been going for a few months, I made a couple minor changes to make it easier to access past posts. There are now numbered links at the bottom of the homepage to allow you to browse through old posts. Previously, there was a button to show more posts, but it didn’t work properly. I also added archive links to the sidebar to allow browsing by month.
As a final note, I’ve ordered a copy of the brand new Great Adventure Bible from Ascension press. I should have it in a few days, so look for a review by the end of the week.
I am personally holding off on further Bible purchases until the RNJB comes out next Spring or potentially the Word on Fire Bible. I don’t know if you or another reader may have any info on the WOF Bible release date or on translation being used?
I have communicated with Word on Fire about their upcoming Bible project. They aren’t ready to share any details publicly yet, but I can say it sounds like a very ambitious, very exciting project. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Hi Marc,
So far I throughly enjoyed reading your blogs. Keep up the good works, brother in Christ
James
Thanks James! That’s music to my ears!
I like your blog too! It is a nice extra source of opinion on Catholic Bibles. I can’t wait for more discussions!
Hey everyone!
Just saw on Fr Barron’s Instagram stories, that they are looking at design options for the Word on Fire Study Bible. Looks like the text is all done.
