Schuyler has sent the typesetting files to the printer for production of their new premium RSV with the Apocrypha/deuterocanonical books. They are still on track for an August publication date, and preorders will begin in either June or July. Schuyler has also confirmed that 200 additional full-yapp editions will be available for preorder at the same time that preorders begin for the standard yapp edition.
Any word on the price?
Do you have any idea what the price point for this might be?
I don’t recall seeing any pricing yet, but Schuyler’s Quentel editions in other translations range in price from $205 to $230. Here is a link to their currently-available editions: https://evangelicalbible.com/product-category/schuyler-bibles/
Michael, $220 for the limited full yapp edition. I would assume it’ll be a few dollars less for the regular, I’m guessing around $200.
It looks like it’s going to be a one-of-a-kind bible, a beautiful edition for a lifetime of use.
Do we know if it uses the revised New Testament from 1971?
Jonathan, on the description page, it says they included the RSV 1977 expanded edition version of the Apocrypha, so I’m assuming they’re using the 1971 NT, too. That would be my hope, anyway.
I think the Schuyler RSV lacks subject headings. I prefer having them.
